PASSING THE BOIADA

A obra came after the statements by the Minister of the Environment in the government of Jair Bolsonaro, Ricardo Salles, made at a ministerial meeting on April 22, 2020 and whose images were released at the behest of the Federal Supreme Court of Federative Republic of Brazil. The minister's speech is about taking advantage of the moment of turmoil in press coverage due to the Covid-19 pandemic to "pass the cattle" in the environmental area and change the rules related to environmental protection and the area of agriculture, which include incentives for land grabbers, deforesters and loggers.
The main questioning of the series is about how the current Brazilian environmental policy is dealing with the destruction of the Amazon Rainforest. The deforestation rate in the region increased by 34% in the last 12 months, compared to the same period of the previous year and more than 9,200 square kilometers of forest were cut down.
It is necessary to seek a model with better environmental conditions for our survival and that of nature, demanding laws from the authorities to control rampant deforestation.
We can live in full balance with the ecosystem without causing its elimination and it is society's role to protect and preserve the environment.
